Big Freedia

Website: www.bigfreedia.com

Big Freedia

Mural Stage Headliner

Big Freedia, known as the Queen of Bounce, is a New Orleans-based rapper and ambassador of Bounce music. A vibrant twist on hip-hop, Bounce music is characterized by call-and-response lyrics over rapid-fire beats and booty-shaking.

After running the New Orleans club scene for over two decades, Big Freedia is now bringing the Bounce movement to a world-wide stage with her hit reality show, "Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce" on Fuse TV. The weekly docu-series follows the life of a gay choirboy turned Bounce rapper and, after 3 seasons, remains the highest rated original series for the network, and after receiving the GLAAD Media Award in 2013, the show was nominated for the award again in 2014. Season 4 debuted on September 30, 2015.

She headlined Bumbershoot (along with many other big festivals around the country), but this will be her first big free show in Seattle - we can't wait to see what she brings this Pride!

Candis Cayne

Website: Facebook fan page

Candis Cayne

Main Stage Headliner

Candis Cayne, a Hawaii native, began her career in New York making a name for herself as a choreographer and drag performer at Boy Bar in The East Village, where high-production values met tight choreography in a winning formula. One of the hardest-working performers, Candis staged complex production numbers at Wigstock, White Party, and other large-scale festivals. Cayne appeared in the related documentary film Wigstock: The Movie, the dramedy film Stonewall, and the Universal Studios comedy feature To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, for which she also did choreography.

In 2007, Cayne was cast in the groundbreaking role of "Carmelita Rainer," on the hit ABC primetime drama Dirty Sexy Money. Cayne has also recurred on shows such as Nip/Tuck playing the trans character "Alexis Stone" and she is currently recurring on the CBS show Elementary as "Ms. Hudson." She has also guest-starred in Drop Dead Diva and Necessary Roughness. In 2015, Cayne participated and recurred in Caitlyn Jenner's unprecedented docu-series, I Am Cait.

Cayne has always been a vocal activist for the LGBT community working closely with various charities and organizations including the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). She lives in Los Angeles.

Kristine W

Website: Official Website

Kristine W

Main Stage Headliner

In the rarified and cutting edge realm of the dance music diva – where singers have to hit and deliver notes that thrill, truly touch hearts and souls with the words they sing and compel bodies to find the mighty groove out on the dancefloor – Kristine W has proven herself an Olympian and lasting talent. She is also a native Washingtonian.

She has scored 16 potent #1 dance hits and a record-setting string of nine consecutive #1s on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart over the past 18 years, earning Kristine third place on Billboard's Best of 2000s Dance Club Play Artists rankings and landing this highly-musical and multitalented independent entertainer squarely within a pantheon of legends and major stars. She's releasing a new album this summer and her PrideFest performance will feature much of this new music (plus a lot of our old favorites).

Kristine joined us in 2008 for our 2nd PrideFest and in 2013 to help us celebrate statewide marriage equality. For our 10th annual PrideFest, we wanted to bring back our favorites and Kristine W definitely fits that bill!

Cazwell

Website: Official Website

Cazwell

DJ Headliner

NYC-based club stalwart Cazwell is one of our favorites over the last 9 years and we welcome him back for our 10th annual PrideFest.

He tours the world every year playing to enthusiastic crowds and festivals, has had over 10 million combined video views on Vevo / You Tube and has managed over 1 Million download / streams of his independently-released music. Earlier this year, he co-wrote the hardstyle anthem collaboration "This Is Your Life" for Dutch duo Psyko Punkz, David Guetta’s divo Chris Willis and the legendary MC Lyte. Additionally, of note, Cazwell's "Get My Money Back" (from his debut full length, Watch My Mouth) was recently used for an HBO's ad campaign for Eastbound and Down. From becoming a You Tube sensation after a million people viewed the ridiculously popular and oft-imitated "Ice Cream Truck" music video in a single week, to producing a steady flow of singles and videos that capture his engaging charisma, self-effacing humor and personality, Cazwell has earned credibility on and off the floor with a slew of anthemic and danceable hip hop tracks. This big 'ol bag-o-tricks includes future hits like Latin twerk nugget, "¡Spicy!," "I Blocked Your Number," the neo soul-laced "Cats and Dogs," and Caz classics like "Rice & Beans," the disco-sampled "All Over Your Face" and Courtney Love’s personal favorite "I Seen Beyoncé At Burger King."

She from God Des and She

Website: Official Website

"She" from God Des and She

Mural Headliner

You know her as being one half of God-Des and She, the hip-hop/pop/soul duo, composed of Alicia Smith (God-des) and Tina Gassen (She). Their appearance on the Showtime hit series The L Word in 2006 launched their music into our lives. We've been proud to host the duo in the past, and are super stoked to bring She, and her new solo materials, to the Mural Stage at this year's Seattle PrideFest. For our 10th annual PrideFest, we're bringing back our favorites from the last 9 years--She is definitely that.
