Free Outdoor Movie: CAMP

RSVP AT: https://www.facebook.com/events/2454420291368124

So in addition to the festival happening on Broadway, PrideFest and Three Dollar Bill Cinema will also be presenting an outdoor movie at the Capitol Hill Station Apartments Plaza at Denny/Broadway. Free for all! We're thrilled to be showing CAMP.

Camp is a 2003 American musical comedy-drama film about an upstate New York performing arts summer camp. There's a bunch of teenage drama, shade, and showtunes. Check out the trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAvAlsX57sg

The show starts at 8pm but come as early as 7pm to people-watch and grab a seat. There is some seating available but you'll want to prepare for sitting on the pavers in the Plaza. Low-backed concert chairs and blankets and pillows and all that are of course welcome. Grab dinner from a PrideFest vendor or a Broadway restaurant and settle in.

PrideFest Capitol Hill is September 4-5, 2021

PrideFest is back Labor Day Weekend for a special 2-day event exclusively on Capitol Hill! Yes, PrideFest is normally in June, but due to COVID restrictions and record heat, we moved our plans to later in the summer (don’t worry, in 2022, we plan to return to our regular June programming). It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to gather for Pride and we can’t wait to see you all in person this Labor Day.

What are the basics?
Dates: Saturday and Sunday September 4-5, 2021
Location: Broadway, John to Roy
Cost: Free
Times 11am-7pm

100% Local Talent
During the pandemic, our local LGBTQIA+ artists struggled to stay afloat. So PrideFest decided to prioritize these artists when booking for 2021. Additionally, we’ve elevated some of our favorite artists to co-festival directors, create a more distributed and diverse group deciding on talent and speakers for the event. You’ll see some of your favorite local acts, from DJ Riz, Adra Boo, and the BeautyBoiz to Anita Spritzer, DJ Dana Dub, and a Latinx showcase. The groups behind the Dyke March and Pride ASIA will also be producing shows for PrideFest this year, and there’ll be a Trans Power Hour featuring local trans and non-binary artists and speakers. You can find the full schedule at www.pridefest.org

Keeping the Community Safe
Please bring your masks and proof of vaccination! We are keeping close track of the Delta variant in our community and may end up having a fully masked event. We will also be requiring proof of vaccination to get into our beer gardens. There are five blocks of Broadway for everyone to spread out and enjoy this cherished community festival while keeping each other safe.

Help our Small Businesses Recover
PrideFest hosts non-profits, arts and crafts vendors, as well as bringing in thousands of attendees to Broadway to enjoy the retail stores, restaurants, bars, and more. A big weekend of business for all of these small businesses will be a big boost to their recovery.

You can RSVP for the event and get more information at: https://fb.me/e/2pGnqfeBB

TAKING PRIDE in Capitol Hill

facebookevent-takingpride.jpg

Formerly “Clean Sweep”

For over a decade now, spring means volunteers taking to the streets and sidewalks of Capitol Hill for a little spring cleaning. Six years ago, PrideFest became a partner and we converted the event to a pride kickoff. We’re rebranding to better reflect the event but it’s the same event you’ve come to love! We may have to limit numbers depending on what public health requires but at the very least we expect masks will be required. We provide breakfast, lunch, and cleaning supplies and we’ll tell you where you and your team will go. FREE REGISTRATION - GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY

Be sure to RSVP TO EVENT ON FACEBOOK to get notifications. See you there!
